The yarn bombing is up and we are all set for this years ARTS IN THE VILLE.

New Website for 2018

ARTS IN THE VILLE now has its own website and will soon have a Facebook page as well.
The amazing Flynn Daniel of Netnow has designed and built our website for us, you will be able to download the map and see a preview of some of the artists work at

Jacky Pieper

Jacky Pieper, one of our artists from last year has been away in France studying sculpture and will be exhibiting some of the results over this years ARTS IN THE VILLE. We cant wait to see the results of this intensive sculpture course.




Steven Valiere

Another new artist for 2018 is Steven Valiere. Alongside exhibiting his work worldwide Steven will have a number of painting on display in the war memorial hall in Helensville all weekend.

2018 will be the 4th ARTS IN THE VILLE.
We have exciting new artists and a new website for 2018.

Karen St John makes amazing anthropomorphic textile sculptures that will be on display in the meeting room all weekend. Pop in and introduce yourself to these beautiful works of art.

Yarn bombing gone mad

Nothing is safe from the creative hands of Kura Geere-Watson. Kura has moved on from preparing lengths of knitting for the trees around Helensville and moved onto her outside table and chairs.
Kura will have a selection of yarn wrapped objects on show and for sale in the Up-cycle gallery on the corner of Karaka and Commercial rds, Helensville, open Sat and Sunday over Labour weekend.
